The whole community at The Wren is today celebrating the hard work, determination, and personal achievements of its Year 11 students as they receive their GCSE and Level 2 vocational results.

Today is a celebration of growth and individual progress. Reflecting the school’s core values of Kindness, Ambition, and Respect, this exceptional group of students has demonstrated grit and determination throughout their secondary education, maintaining the school’s strong progress trajectories—proving that hard work and high expectations deliver meaningful learning gains across all subjects.

In line with The Wren’s ethos that “Better Never Stops,” the 2026 results highlight the value added by excellent teaching, bespoke academic intervention, and strong pastoral care. Across the full range of subjects, students have achieved outcomes that reflect consistent progress from their individual starting points, ensuring they are well-prepared for their next steps in education and training.

“Today is entirely about our students—their character, their sustained effort, and the personal milestones they have achieved. Every cohort is unique, and this group of young people has shown great ambition and commitment to their learning.

“When we look at individual student progress from where they began their journey, we see real success stories, whether that is a set of grade 9s and 8s, achieving a grade 4 in Maths or English, there is success to celebrate everywhere we look. We are not just celebrating grades today; we are celebrating the growth, maturity, and resilience of the young adults standing before us. They have earned their success, and our entire school community is immensely proud of them.”

Looking Ahead to Next Steps

The true measure of today’s success lies in progression. The majority of Year 11 students have secured the qualifications needed to move seamlessly into their chosen post-16 pathways. Many will continue their educational journey at Wren Six, taking advantage of the school’s expanding A-Level and Vocational provision, while others move on to local college courses, specialist vocational training, and apprenticeships.
