The Wren Celebrates Strongest-Ever Post-16 Results
The Wren community is celebrating as Year 13 students receive their A-Level and vocational results, marking the school’s strongest Post-16 performance to date and continuing a positive trend of year-on-year improvement.
This year, 10% more students achieved A*-C grades, while the number of A*-A grades doubled. These results reflect the impact of tailored curriculum planning, targeted Sixth Form support and a strong culture of ambition across Wren Six.
The success extends beyond grades, with most students securing their chosen next steps, including university degree programmes, selective courses, higher apprenticeships and employment.
At The Wren, academic achievement goes hand-in-hand with character development. Throughout Wren Six, students have demonstrated Kindness, Ambition and Respect through leadership, peer mentoring and contributions to the wider community.
John Salberg, Principal said: “Today is first and foremost about celebrating our students for the dedicated, well-rounded young adults they have become. We take as much pride in their character, work ethic, and personal growth as we do in their grades.
These results represent our best-ever Post-16 outcomes and reflect steady, sustained year-on-year progress. By closing gap performance and aligning our outcomes with national standards, we are ensuring that young people in our community receive the quality Post-16 education they deserve. Our leavers step out today fully equipped to thrive at university, in apprenticeships, and across their community.
Furthermore it is a testament to the unwavering support and passion of our dedicated staff, our families, and the wider Wren community. We thank them all for supporting and encouraging our students.”
We wish all our students the very best as they embark on the next steps of their journey and a safe and enjoyable summer ahead.
