What happens if a Wren Six student does not meet our expectations:

Our Wren Six students have chosen to join our sixth form community because they believe in our vision and our values. Students in Wren Six are encouraged to make positive choices about their behaviour, to take responsibility for their own decisions and to be held accountable for these decisions if they make the wrong choice. We believe that having a clear approach to Wren Six expectations and consequences will help students learn to be accountable for their actions. Please be aware of the following:

  1. If a student arrives at school inappropriately dressed, they will be asked to go home and change before returning to school.
  2. If a student arrives at school without their lanyard, they will be asked to go home and collect it or be sent to Swap Shop for a temporary replacement.
  3. Wren Six Consequences will now run more frequently (after school from 3-4 pm). Consequences will be issued for: lateness to school or lessons, internal truancy, mobile phone misuse, missed work deadlines and/or falling behind with work, or any other incident that falls below our expectations.

Families will be notified of any consequences and our actions through Arbor. Please ensure you have downloaded the app.

Individual incidents that fall outside the points above will be dealt with in isolation. These incidents are exceptionally rare. However, individual cases will be dealt with by the Director of Sixth Form and other appropriate colleagues. The outcomes will be based upon:

  1. Seriousness of incident;
  2. Student previous record, in some exceptional circumstances this will not be relevant.
