Sixth Form NEWS Students

Tutor Time at Wren Six

At Wren Six, students are placed into one of six groups.

Why vertical tutoring?

  • Vertical tutoring allows excellent peer role modelling and student leadership. This supports Year 12 students as they navigate the transition from Year 11 into post-16 Wren Six study.
  • To support the development of a community across Year 12 and Year 13 and ensure cohesion within Wren Six.
  • Vertical tutoring allows us to provide excellent support to students every day ensuring that the tutor programme is five days a week. This brings academic and pastoral benefits to our community.
  • Vertical tutoring is cited as being a key factor in development of student skills, character and belonging helping students to form an identity connected to our community.
